WHAT IS CCH

Citizens Concerned for the Homeless, Inc. is an organization comprised of programs Sand Castle Shelter for Homeless Families, Grace Learning Center, the Keys to Hope Community Resource Center and CCH’s Food Rescue Initiative. Sand Castle Shelter addresses the “invisible” crisis of homeless children and families in our community. Grace Learning Center provides and facilitates classes and programs designed to eliminate barriers standing in the way of sustainable self-sufficiency. Keys to Hope provides intensive case management designed to identify barriers and creates a plan of action to eliminate them.  KTH also provides showers, lockers and laundry services and referrals to social services and resources, all aimed at barrier removal and preparing participants for jobs and housing, as well as tools and skill sets necessary to sustain them.  Finally, CCH’s Food Rescue Initiative procures and rescues food and delivers it to a network of 34 soup kitchens and food pantries in 7 cities throughout LaPorte County for distribution to the general public.
