About Grace Learning Center

Grace Learning Center serves as a hub for education and personal development in La Porte County, offering opportunities for individuals to build the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to move forward.

Through a wide range of classes, workshops, and support groups, participants can address challenges such as employment gaps, financial instability, and personal barriers that often stand in the way of progress.

In partnership with local organizations and facilitators, we provide the tools and support individuals need to break cycles, build skills, and create lasting change.

All classes, groups, and programs at Grace Learning Center are free and open to the community, with in-person and online options available. Our classes and support groups include:

Aliveness Project
Free HIV and Hepatitis-C testing and education.

Anger Management
Learn healthy ways to express anger, identify triggers, and techniques to de-escalate an angry individual.

Budgeting with PNC
Learn budgeting, credit, saving, and other essential money management skills.

Computer Basics
Learn about computer components, basic keyboarding, file management, cybersecurity awareness, and more.

Coping Skills
Designed to teach effective coping strategies for managing stress, emotions, and life’s challenges.

Family Cooking on a Budget
Learn to prepare delicious, budget-friendly meals for a family of four under $20.

GED/HiSET
Your gateway to earning your high school equivalency (HSE) diploma.

Healthy Relationships
Promoting mental well-being through the development of healthy, respectful, and communicative relationships.

Intermediate Computers
Learn a variety of skills that will enhance your Microsoft and Excel skills and knowledge.

Living with Anxiety
Strategies, support, and understanding for individuals navigating the challenges of living with anxiety.

Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT)
A cognitive-behavioral program that helps individuals change harmful thought patterns and behaviors.

Self-Esteem
Focused on building confidence, self-worth, and fostering a positive sense of self through supportive discussions and activities.

Plant-Based Cooking
Learn to prepare healthy, whole-food meals that support overall wellness.

ServSafe® Certification Training
The gold standard for food safety training and certification in the food service industry.

Substance Use & Recovery Education (SURE)
Designed to help individuals understand and manage substance use disorders using evidence-based information and techniques.

What Teens Need to Know: Addictive Substances
Empowers youth age 12 through 17 to make informed decisions about substance use based on the facts.

Yoga of You
Low-impact, slower-paced movements make this the perfect class for beginners, seniors, and all fitness levels.
