MICHIGAN CITY — Citizens Concerned for the Homeless [CCH] and United Way of La Porte County have announced that CCH has received a $125,000 capital project grant from the Indiana United Ways Statewide Capital Projects Initiative [SCPI].

MICHIGAN CITY — Michigan City’s Grace Learning Center added a new tool to its arsenal to improve community health and wellness in 2022, and is using the Learning Kitchen to help in the fight against diabetes.

La PORTE — Making sure the county’s nonprofit leaders have the tools they need to be effective was the aim of a symposium hosted by the Health Foundation of La Porte.

MICHIGAN CITY — Food rescue is taking leftover food from grocery stores and restaurants, food that would otherwise be thrown away, and making it available to those in need.
